EMERGENT News October 28, 2024

Hello!

It’s Monday, October 28th, and I’m excited to share some updates, new topics for discussion, and a preview of Episode 2 of EMERGENT, streaming live this Friday at 9pm Eastern.

This week, we’re diving into the breakthrough UFO conversations we need to be having—moving beyond the usual entertainment cycle of the day’s novel tidbits and fringe possibilities to examine the core realities and urgent issues that the UFO phenomenon presents us with, especially at a time of growing public disclosure.

My hope is that by shifting the conversation to focus on the areas where Contact is having the greatest impact on people and society, we’ll be able to make informed assessments of the event taking place, move on to talk about pathways for public response, and prepare to engage a global audience that could—just maybe!—become aware these encounters are taking place, and with massive implications for humanity’s future.

The mountain is over there. 👉
Shoulder that pack; let’s get walking.

Three Levels of Conversation

As I consider the state of the UFO conversation, I see three levels of discourse and many areas of vacant or even non-existent discussion.

  1. Within the UFO community: After 80 years of research and analysis, what are the questions the UFO community needs to be asking today? Are we unintentionally contributing to our own marginalization by getting lost in ever-narrowing theories and distractions? We’ll question whether the UFO community might be playing a role in its own obfuscation and most importantly: the critical role the UFO community can play at a time of disclosure.
  2. At its edges: Some estimates suggest over 33% of Americans believe in UFOs already. For those who may not yet know “for sure” but have a desire to understand—what are the key questions they should be asking? How can we bridge the gap and foster meaningful conversations that invite curiosity and critical thinking among those who… kind of know already?
  3. In the wider public sphere: What approaches can we take to introduce this reality to the public in a sensible and accessible way? What do people need to know first, second and third? And what are the key conversations that would actually prepare people to process the event once it will be disclosed?

Here’s an article I put out this week, opening up one of those conversations: The Universe as Nature: Anticipating Encounters with Non-Human Intelligence

UFO conversations we need to be having:

1. How can we assess the motive and intent of non-human intelligence?

Understanding how we assess the UFO phenomenon is crucial for forming an effective response. Should we wait for extensive investigation before drawing conclusions, or start with an initial assessment and pursue better evidence from there? This involves choosing between:

  • A Response Framework: Focusing on utilizing the information we have in order to articulate and enact responses on scale and in a timely fashion.
  • An Understanding Framework: Emphasizing scientific observation and the slow deepening of our understanding through research

2. What Is the Scale and Scope of this Phenomenon and what is the depth of its Penetration into Our Human World?

Grasping the true extent of the UFO phenomenon’s impact requires assessing its dimensions:

  • Breadth: How widespread is the phenomenon globally?
  • Depth: How deeply has it affected individuals and societies?
  • Scope: What can we infer about the phenomenon’s extent beyond our world based on its observed activity within our world?890+ Multi Direction Arrow Stock Photos, Pictures & Royalty ...

Not understanding these parameters may lead to some fundamental misunderstandings about the nature of the event taking place, and misestimations of the motive and intent of the entities involved.

3. Is This a Visitation, a Habitation, or a Perpetual Cohabitation?

Ruling in or Ruling out planet Earth as the present origin for non-human intelligences (NHI) is going to be important:

  • Visitation: Are they temporary visitors?
  • Habitation: Have they established a long-term presence?
  • Perpetual Cohabitation: Can we directly correlate the 20th century wave of visitation to ancient forms of Contact that may have taken place? Spoiler alert: its not nearly as easy an association to make as people think.

4. Is there a form of Non-Consensual contact taking place and if so, what are the implications?

Serious ethical issues arise if non-consensual contact is taking place:

  • Consent and Disclosure: Have these entities disclosed themselves and obtained informed consent before initiating contact with affected individuals?
  • Manipulation of Perception: Accounts often include neurological control, emotional manipulation, and implanted memories.
  • Abduction Reports: Individuals report physical examinations, medical procedures and even reproductive interventions taking place. Some repot positive experiences but if under captivity this raises problems with assessing an event based on self-reported “positive feelings.”

5. What Are the Risks and Possible Implications of adopting Non-Human Technology and Science— even Alliances with NHI?

Accepting non-human technology, science, and alliances carries real risks:

  • Non-Human Technology in Human Hands: Without fully understanding capabilities or consequences, could integrating advanced technology lead to misuse or catastrophic outcomes?
  • Alliances with NHI: Forming partnerships with entities of unknown intentions may risk creating dependencies that compromise human sovereignty.
  • Impact on Global Power: Possession of such technology by certain nations could shift geopolitical balances, leading to tensions—or you guessed it—a global arms race.

Recent Conversations

In this episode we’ll also be looking at some thought-provoking conversations involving some leading voices in the field:

Insights from the Frontlines

I’ll also be drawing from personal experiences I’ve had engaging people across 40 countries on the UFO issue and will share some stories and insights on what i’ve learned along the way.

What is it like to “talk to the people?” If we can’t ultimately involve them, we risk creating a “cult of the informed” that has little to no impact on the larger world and that will be considered only fringe to the concerns of today’s discourse.

A Call to Action

For me, this episode is more than a discussion—it’s an act of moving forward. I hope you can join me as we find the path upward and gain perspective and a new vantage point on the confusing landscape of UFOs, Contact and disclosure.
