Today’s UFO Hearing in the US Senate

The US Senate Committee on Armed Services is holding a hearing on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) today at 4:30 pm Eastern. Not much is known, but a few details are available:

Witnesses: One witness is testifying in both closed and open sessions: Dr. Jon T. Kosloski, the current head of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).

Topics: Beyond the resolved (and hopefully unresolved) cases AARO is attempting to address will be a discussion of a new technology called “Gremlin” the DoD is deploying to detect and track UFOs.

Looking ahead to Episode 5

I’m expecting the Congressional UFO hearings (and Senate hearings today), coupled with the results of the US election and a new US administration in January, to trigger a new series of necessary and urgent UFO conversations. With that in mind, I’ll focus Episode 5 on the past, present, and future of UFO disclosure into 2025 and beyond.

I will begin by revisiting some of the major developments related to UAP disclosure over the past year, including efforts made through the proposed Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Disclosure Act (UAPDA).

I’ll also discuss the challenges and risks associated with government disclosure itself—including the impact on global security, the balance of power, culpability and potential crimes against humanity, and the long-range implications of adopting technologies of non-Earth origin. 

Are there alternate routes for disclosure to take place? Let’s survey the map and see what paths forward exist.

Is a secret arms race for alien-tech fueling global tensions?


A lot is happening in the world right now and most of it isn’t (seemingly) about government disclosure or the UFO issue as a whole. 

Major events are unfolding that could cause real international instability in the coming years—especially regarding nature and climate, technology and AI, and the increasingly dramatic escalations in Ukraine, Israel, and the South-China Sea.

There is a real risk of larger-scale regional conflicts erupting due to new defense partnerships (think Russia and North Korea), geopolitical rivalries, and the risk of economic disruption.

Take a deep breath.

Turn away from the UFO reality and look at the world.

And then turn back.

Is there a connection?

If a “multi-decade, secretive arms race” is underway is that a driver in the conflicts we are seeing unfold? If a powerful set of non-human intelligences are operating covert programs to engage human populations and governments, are they themselves a driver?

We shouldn’t underestimate the power of non-human science, technology, agreements, and alliances to add fuel to our longstanding human conflicts and grievances.

And at this point, we can’t assume that all the conflicts, controversies, and coverups underway involve us as humans only. They may involve non-humans as well.

This is one of the conversations we need to be having.
