Recapping the 2024 SOL Conference with Erik Zidek

Last Friday, Erik Zidek joined me to unpack our personal impressions of the 2024 SOL Conference in San Francisco, where over 400 academics, scientists, media, and policy professionals gathered to explore the societal implications of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) and potential contact with a non-human intelligence (NHI).

Here are some of the key themes that emerged:

  1. UAP Materials as the Key to Establishing the Phenomenon
    • Karl Nell emphasized that materials such as recovered metamaterials or potentially exotic materials could serve as a linchpin for proving the reality of UAP and NHI.
  2. “Dangerous Knowledge” and the Ethical and Geopolitical Risks of NHI Technologies
    • The possibility of destabilizing “dangerous knowledge” stemming from advanced UAP technologies that might have unintended or catastrophic consequences.
  3. AI’s Role in Analyzing UAP Data and Patterns
    • Leveraging AI for systematic analysis of vast datasets turning noise into actionable insights and bridging gaps in traditional investigative methods.
  4. The Dual Cover-Up: Government and NHI
    • Both the government and NHI may be engaged in separate but intersecting cover-ups—governments to control knowledge and maintain power and NHIs to operate covertly or limit human awareness.
  5. “Social Trust” and Experiencer Narratives
    • Peter Skafish raised the importance of societal trust in acknowledging experiencer accounts as valid data.

Here’s a full summary with links:

  • Reflection on the potential geopolitical conflicts and ethical dilemmas arising from UAP disclosures.

Concluding Thoughts and Future Directions 01:38:14

  • Emphasis on continued advocacy, research, and preparation for societal and individual implications of NHI confirmation.

Poll on X regarding Societal Readiness for Disclosure

I ran a poll which highlighted an intriguing divide in opinion:

  • 58% of respondents believe humanity is moderately or highly ready for official government confirmation of the presence of an NHI.
  • 42% believe humanity has “low to no” societal readiness—citing fear, denial, and societal breakdown if such a disclosure occurs.

Keep an eye out for a future episode where we examine this further and discuss viable paths forward for societal preparation and increasing readiness for this reality.

Drone Incursions over US airbases in the UK

Recent reports reveal an unsettling pattern: drones have been spotted over key UK military and nuclear-armed installations, raising alarms about the potential for espionage or even precursors to an escalation in regional conflict.

While many suggest these could be reconnaissance missions by state actors, others believe we must remain open to alternative explanations including their connection to UAP phenomena.

The overlap between UAP sightings and incursions at nuclear facilities deserves close scrutiny as it may reveal patterns vital to our understanding of the phenomenon’s broader intentions.

Looking Ahead: From Craft to Controller

In the next episode of EMERGENT on Friday, December 14th, we’ll explore the frontier of citizen-driven UAP research with special guest Mitch Randall

We’ll discuss Operation Skywatch, an innovative platform empowering citizens to track and report UAP activity, and how this initiative could reshape UAP discourse, accelerate transparency, and offer fresh insights into alien intent.

This episode also tackles the broader concept of citizen disclosure: How can individuals contribute to decoding the mystery of non-human intelligence? What role should public engagement play in shaping the global conversation about UAPs?

With our world raging in conflict and division and Contact happening in ways we don’t understand the need for engaged citizens has never been greater.

If you’re feeling a sense of calling it’s for a good reason. Maybe the world needs you and is calling for you to say what you know, in the way you can say it.

Until next week,

Reed Summers
